Steps to Get Approved for Adoption
*You must be 21 years old to adopt*

Once you meet an animal you feel would be a good fit to add to your family, you must fill out an application, which includes the following requirements:
1. You must have a licensed veterinarian clinic already established and willing to see your animal once the adoption is complete.
2. Any animals you already have at home must be up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccines, as well as neutered or spayed. This includes any recently deceased pets.
3. Proof of homeownership or landlord's permission must be shown. If you own your home, homeownership must be proven through a mortgage statement, tax bill or deed to the land. If you rent, you must provide the landlord's information for us to contact and ensure pets are allowed in the rental unit.

Once an application has been filled out & approved you are then able to take the animal home *Please note, applications may take up to one week to process*
*Disclaimer: The Animal Orphanage reserves the right to deny an application if these steps aren't met and/or if the staff feels the home isn't the right fit for an animal*
