Lyric
Meet Lyric! Lyric is a 4 year old Shepard/Husky mix with a big personality! Lyric has narrow ear canals, which have caused multiple ear infections throughout his life. When he first came to us he had some pretty severe skin irritation that was treated and has since made a full recovery. While Lyric was recovering from his medical needs, he was pretty stressed out in the kennel setting and started showing stressful behaviors that would otherwise not be a problem. The Animal Orphanage staff decided to reach out to Christine, a trainer who has worked with some of our dogs in the past, to help Lyric overcome the stress of Shelter life. He has been training with her for a few weeks now and will be continuing his training for the remainder of October. Lyric will do best in a home where he can have a structured schedule, have no other animals in the home and someone with experience working with dogs with big personalities.
He is currently doing well learning basic obedience as well as coping with the stress of a kennel. Upon an approved adoption, Lyric’s new owners will be given a few continued training sessions with Christine to learn Lyric’s new commands as well as a basic understanding of all of the training he received while with her so that he can continue his training with his new owners.
He has made great progress so far and he will continue to grow and learn new skills that will help him be successful in his new forever home.
Adoption Fee: $160
To schedule a meet & greet with Lyric please call the animal orphanage!

Moose
Meet Moose! Moose is a pretty nervous boy who will need a lot of time to adjust to his new home. He has some behavioral quirks he will need to work on, but with a structured routine, patience, time and space he would adjust well. He is selective with other dogs, so a meet and greet is needed prior to adoption to determine if it will be a good match. Moose is a sweet dog, he just needs a home that will understand his personality. He would do best in a home with no children or cats.

Grace
Meet Grace (Gracie)!
Grace is a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog/ Blue Heeler mix. Grace can be a very sweet girl who absolutely lives for attention. She loves people but gets very nervous at sudden movements and noises. Going to the Vet is a very scary event for her, so she is currently working with one of our trainers to overcome that fear. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay and place and is currently working on understanding “boundaries” as she loves to be in her humans. Grace gets overwhelmed by anything medically related to her well-being, which makes going to the vet challenging for her as ear cleanings, nail trims, etc, can be very overwhelming. She is currently learning to overcome those fears, but she will need continued training in her new home where she can keep growing and understanding that medical care is not as scary as it seems. Grace does not like other dogs and would do best in a home with no children under the age of 12. She would do best in a home that understands her need for time and to adjust.

Bo
Meet Bo! Bo is a very sweet boy who gets a little nervous in new places or around loud noises. He is almost 2 years old and is currently learning basic obedience commands such as sit and stay. He spends his days learning to walk on leash, play with his friends and getting lots of pets from staff. Bo loves other dogs but he doesn't quite understand the concept of "personal" space, so he is currently learning what boundaries are. He has an endless amount of energy so if you're looking for a new hiking buddy, he is your man!
